Heart care facilities have found to be inadequate in US hospitals

In what appears to be quiet shocking it has been found out that not all hospitals are able to meet the demands especially in emergency cases of heart care. The number of hospitals which can meet at these tough times do not exceed about a third of the total hospitals in the whole of United States of America. It is even more astonishing to know that the best of the hospitals do not have the facilities to provide care in crucial times and they seek the assistance of American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology in as many as half of the cardiac patients whom they deal with.

However this situation is reverse in different regional levels. In many places they have been able to provide the apt treatment in less than ninety minutes. The mortality and the rate of people affected by cardiac problems is nevertheless quiet shocking. This is estimated to be at 10,000 and 200,000 respectively. It has also been found that balloon angioplasty has considerably put down the risk of death and in many cases they assure great results provided the patients are brought with the prescribed time span of 90 minutes. Similarly it has come to attention that several lives could be saved if only the hospitals met the guidelines.

One of the primary aspects of cardiac care is facility. It is not just possible to get the best treatment in the absence of infrastructure and facilities. Since heart problems are by and large a question of "life and death" there should not be any compromise on them at all. In any cases it has been founds that things would have been far better either if patients were brought in the right time or if only the facilities were at par with what ought to have been.

Heart problems can never be taken for granted. Even the mildest of the attack can prove to be turbulence in the later stages. It is for this reason they have always occupies a prominent place in the medical dictionary and now with the growing number of heart complications due to factors like increased stress, junk and oily foods only add to the woe.
