In an official statement Lewis-Gale Medical Center announced that they have been given the number one position in Roanoke area. Similarly they also happen to occupy the 10th position in the state level. This is for the commercial organizations offering medical services. These results have been derived by making use of their information in many ways.

This has come as very good news to all the stake holders of the hospitals including doctors, nurses, administrators, business and community leaders. Lewis-Gale Medical Center bagged the coveted title "best hospital for orthopedic care" in the entire state during the year 2005.
